We had an wonderful morning with thien! Thien thank you again for showing us around! Great tour! We had a wonderful walking tour with Thien. She was very knowledgeable and informative, telling us lots of interesting information about the areas we went to. Also taking us to good areas for photography. We would not have gone to all those places ourselves, so it was great to be taken by someone who knows the area and the local people. We tried lots of tasty food which Thien recommended, and met some lovely people.
I thoroughly recommend Thien as a guide for this tour. Excellent guide and tour. We had a great time, meeting her friends, drinking coffee and chatting, walking and taking a local bus.
We learned a lot about the city and Vietnamese history and culture. We have a second tour booked with Thien, which we are looking forward to.

Thien took me to places I would not have visited myself, historical buildings where people live and work. We met some of her friends, chatted She is a lively, happy, cultivated guide, a pleasure to spend time together. Thien is warm, kind and has a genuine love for her city, the local people and the guests on her tour. If you enjoy stepping away from the tourist areas, and the chance to see how ordinary people live in Saigon, this is the perfect tour. One of the best things to do in Saigon.
We met Thien for an early morning walk through the city in Saigon. She was a wonderful host, full of exciting stories about the city and all of the local characters that make up the lifeblood of the city. We spent a wonderful few hours in Thiens company, chatting to locals and getting the opportunity to take some amazing photographs while we explored the city together. We cannot recommend Thien highly enough, and would recommend her to anyone who would like to experience life in the city.
A Photo walk with Thien. What a great experience. Saigon is a big city so most tourists will only see the main sightseeing spots. Thien brings you to places you will never come yourself, where you can shoot some unique pictures.

Good photo experiential. For me this is the best tour I have ever taken. You get a very authentic look inside Saigon and will go to places which not many foreigners know about. The places were really beautiful and you get the chance to take unique pictures Thien was a wonderful tour guide.
You can have great talks with her and knows so much about Saigon and the lifestyle. She introduced me to her friends and when my camera had no battery left she let me use her phone to take pictures which i appreciate a lot.
Real, unique, great personality. Thien is awesome. Stop what you're doing and book one of her tours. Her knowledge and insight into local communities of Saigon is impressive. All of the local people you meet have become her friends over time.
This makes for a truly welcoming experience! My wife and I joined Thien on the walking photo tour, but this would be a great option even if you're not interested in photography. Thien really goes above and beyond even helping us find our hotel on the bus. I realise this probably feels a little scripted, but I really think that With Locals puts other tour companies to shame.

I can't imagine anyone with more knowledge or connections to the different local populations. Not only did I get amazing photos of real life in Vietnam, I also learned SO much and met amazing people.

I highly recommend her! The best of the best! We had two goals: 1 We wanted to explore the nooks and crannies of HCMC that the regular tourist doesn't see. Thien was amazing. The tour started at a local cafe in District 3 run by family of sisters. Not only was the coffee great, but the story behind the women and their coffee business was just what were looking for. We were greeted with smiles and a story and well, wound up with some great photos. If you want to experience life in HCMC like a local and get some great photos.

It was very interesting and we learned a lot about the local life in this busy city. Definitely not a time issue, because were able to walk at speed. Looking back at it we took some nice pictures, but not as much variety and as beautiful as we had hoped. Thien is a very energetic and entertaining person. Maybe we should have asked her to speed up, so we could finish in time. Nice local experience. Her insight into the real Saigon was a revelation. She is interesting, friendly, relaxed and speaks excellent English.
Even if you are not interested in photography this is a really worthwhile tour and don't miss an early cup of coffee at her favourite spot Fantastic experience and fantastic value.
Best part of our entire trip. We absolutely loved our experience - this tour is a must if you want to experience the authentic beauty of Saigon. Our guide Thien was very engaging, warm-hearted and knowledgeable about the city and its history.
This tour is an all-in-one: exploring locations rich in culture and history afar from tourist masses, interacting with locals, drinking the best coffee in town and taking stunning and unique photographs. Saigon through an authentic lens. She was bubbly and wonderful and despite not being well and having nearly completely lost had voice her vibrant personality shone through!
She showed us lots of beautiful places around Ho Chi Minh that showed us the true history of the city. It was great to see it from a locals point of view and not do the tourist places. The oldest coffee house in Saigon was so cool and the coffee was awesome! We got to meet a lot of Thiens friends as we walked around the city and it was great to get to chat to them and ask them questions about their life, they were all happy to chat and helped give us a real sense of life in Ho Chi Minh.

And it was an apt beginning. Thien messaged me about 10 days before to confirm the walk and also shared the route map to reach the spot where we were to meet her.
Gave us tips on where to exchange our dollars and which taxi service to use. When we met her, it didn't feel like we were meeting her for the first time. It was as if we have known each other our whole lives. During the tour, she shared her own stories, history of Vietnam and Saigon. She treated us to local delicacies on the way. It was a tour only a local would know and be able to show. We are glad we took this walking tour with Thien.
She is indeed a marvellous story teller. She is always a smiling, happy girl and ready to help you in the best possible way she can. She helped me with buying Vietnamese Coffee while we were in Hanoi. If we required any help, I simply messaged her. She would always come up with a solution.
